Sous vide desserts are much healthier and more nutritious than a regular store-bought confectionery. A chocolate, banana and peanut butter sous vide snack will still your hunger and cheer you up!
The cooked dessert can be tasted “hot from the oven” – in our case right from a vacuum bag. Just spread it on a bun or cracker like a butter. Alternatibvely, you can froze it to eat later in smaller portions similarly to sorbet. This dessert turns out to be much healthier and tastier thanks to sous vide cooking method. It becomes more obvious when compared to ordinary chocolate bars or ice cream from the supermarket.
Ingredients
Serves: –+
- Banana 3 pcs
- Peanut Butter 3 tbsp
- Grated dark chocolate 3 tbsp
Method
-
To follow the recipe steps, your sous vide water bath cooker must be heated to 60 degrees.
-
Now slice the banana into about 2 centimeters thick pieces and put them in the vacuum bag along with the rest of the ingredients i.e. peanut butter and grated chocolate. Don't seal the bag tight and start immersing it in the water bath gradually, thereby allowing excess air to escape. When all the air has gone out and the bag hits the bottom of the cooker, seal the bag tight. Cook the dessert for 30 minutes.
-
Stir the cooked treat. You can spread the dessert over some bread or biscuits or simply eat it with a spoon while it's still hot.
-
If you're more into a sorbet type of desserts, you can lay out it into ice cream molds and shelve the whole thing in a freezer. You'll be left with a delicious and nutritious frozen snack in the end.
