Sous vide melon Gin and Tonic

A homemade melon gin and tonic cocktail with a sous vide treatment. This is a treat for yourself and your guests.

  • Melon 250 gr
  • Melon balls (for garnishing)
  • Sugar 30 gr
  • Water 30 ml
  • Gin 150 ml
  • Tonic 300 ml
  • Ice cubes
Method

  • Heat the water bath to 47⁰C using a sous vide thermal processor.

    Cut the melon and put it in a vacuum bag. Add gin and vacuumize it.

  • Immerse the bag with its contents in a sous vide container with preheated water and leave it there for 2 hours at the set temperature.

    As soon as the cooking time is over, take out the bag and let all the ingredients cool down. Then draw the drink.

  • Put ice cubes in glasses, pour melon gin over, fill with tonic and place a few thyme sprigs. Cocktails can be decorated with skewered melon balls.
