Сoffee drinkers want to enjoy the taste of their favorite drink throughout the year, but drinking hot coffee in the heat of summer isn't much fun, so the cold brewing method was invented. The new drink was even given the name Cold brew. The nuance of the recipe is that it's prepared without heating  but by prolonged extraction in a cold water. Thanks to this, the taste of the drink becomes unusually soft. There is no usual bitterness and sourness of hot coffee which often interfere with the taste of the drink.

Cold brewing can take from 12 to 24 hours which isn't that convenient. However, it's possible to get your favorite coffee in just 2 hours using a sous vide technology! We can make the cold brew in bulk and store it in a fridge for several days. It will keep its taste during this time. So let's make some cold brew.

  • Ground coffee ½ cups
  • Water 800 ml
  • Coffee filter

  • Preheat a water bath to 65.5°C using a sous vide thermal circulator.

    Next, you need to mix 0.5 cups of ground coffee with 4 cups of water. Pour the resulting mixture into two jars and seal with two-piece lids.

    Immerse the coffee jars into preheated water for 2 hours.

    Take out the jars after 2 hours. Strain the contents through a coffee filter into a jug or another jar where the drink can be stored for up to 10 days.

So, cold brew is done! Now you can enjoy its unique taste for quite a time!
